Saw Prometheus this past weekend and enjoyed the movie.  Seems to be some people pretty angry about the movie.  Granted there were a few stupid moments.  The brave biologist and the running from a boulder parts are the ones that ring out for me.

However some people are so bloody upset about them taking off their helmets because they didn’t ‘test’ the air.  The way I figure is these people built this huuuuge spaceship, traveled billions of light years (or whatever) , know how to cryo-freeze bodies for 2 years and built a bleeding android that says ‘tea, mum?’…I think they prolly have a device that can check the air for bacteria.  Plus it is a movie and they have to take off their helmets, same as Spiderman and Batman spending most of the movie maskless.

So I thought it was fun.  I think of it more as a horror/thriller movie.  When do any character’s actions make sense in the real world?
