I don’t know, it’s still too early to be sure one way or the other. He has a rough look about him (working the docks will do that) and probably isn’t a stranger to physical confrontations, but from his actions so far I’d be more inclined to believe he’s the sort who ends fights instead of starting them.
If he’s being truthful in his explanation of sending the other guy to the orphanage, then he’s got that on the “isn’t a bad-guy” side of the list too (unless he’s wondering where his cheap labor/expendable labor supply is going, that’d be pretty bad)
I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt (and I like his octopus) but we shall see what transpires.
Besides, if officialdom is taking an interest in this case, there’s no harm in civilly assisting the authorities with their specific inquiries. Might come in handy, later.
