Welcome to the New Year!
I know this isn’t the first post of the year, but I scheduled the last post almost 3 months ago 🙂
Well good news, I’ve finished all the inking for Shiver Bureau’s first story arc. It is such a weight off my shoulders. Sure I still have to do the ink wash, colors, and lettering but that isn’t as back breaking as pencils and inking. It feels great and it makes for an excellent start to my new year.
Now that I am ‘mostly’ done with Shiver Bureau, I am hoping to experiment on some smaller projects, maybe do some pinups, exploratory short stories with different styles, fool around more with ink and brush, do some digital painting. The sky’s the limit and I’m pretty excited to start learning again.
Is there anything you’d like to see?
I hope everyone had an awesome holiday season. Here’s looking forward to another year!
I would love to hear a little about Pickles backstory before the very
beginning of Shiver Bureau. Equally an expansion upon the state of
the world and its history (e.g. is it alternative WW2 style history sort
of stuff).
I absolutely love the vibe and feel of the world you’ve created so any
expansion on that, even the mechanics of their spectrum use would
be entirely welcomed and adored the same as Shiver Bureau!
Equally a kick ass Pickles background for my laptop or phone would
be most appreciated!
Rob
Thanks, Rob. All that stuff you touched on is stuff I am really excited to get into. The mechanics of the world will start coming to light in the second arc of the story. I think I will start going into the history of the world in that arc as well. I’d also like to do a little short story with some of Pickle’s early days. I’ll see what I can do about that background 🙂
You had me sold at ‘world mechanics’. I love fictional magic/science systems so I’d definitely love to see some more of that.
You’ll have to wait for the next story arc, but it will be there.
I’m a fan of world building/mechanics as well and am really looking forward to seeing more of the world you’ve created. I’d love to see a blueprint style wallpaper of Trish’s car.
A blueprint would be awesome. I could imagine producing it would drive me to madness, but I think about it 🙂
