Take a bow, Chapter 2!
Originally I was planning on leaving the monster in silhouette, but I was like I am going on hiatus, I don’t want to just leave people hanging with a black spot. So I drew up this little beasty.
What is it? Is it a shiver? Doesn’t seem to spectral to me. Maybe Pickle knows. Maybe he will live to tell us about it.
So I am taking a little break while I get my bearings on the story. I will also be prepping for MegaCon is sunny Orlando, FL. I’ll post some updates on progress if I have anything interesting to share. I will also be offering up some PDFs of the two chapters with some bonus content like original b/w pages.

Inspectres have a certain ‘kinship’ with the shivers. Though I haven’t really gotten into that as much as I should have, I hope to start getting into more of the mechanics of the world sooner then later…hopefully.

So i can go on and on about this comic. I found you through gaia as well, and I have to agree that while I like that comic, yours had me hooked by page two. Deeply saddened to have reached the “end” so soon.
Your characters are delightful, and Pickle has a sort of Tennant Dr. who feel to him that is just fantastic.
But my god… the art. The way the characters are drawn, the way you portray London, it’s all so alive and deliciously twisted. I cannot -wait- to see more of this.
If you want to bounce ideas during your hiatus I’d be thrilled to be a sounding board. Assuming you’d even want one? hahaha…

This comic is truly great: I love your artwork, especially how you give such a weird atmosphere with this greenish tone, and the storyline seems to have a well-built background.
Your characters are awesomely drawn too: all very different one from the other, all matching their particular personality, even for the non-maincharacters…
Long story short, it’s a really cohesive and credible world that you are revealing us, and I love that!

I love SB so far, especially how British the humour is for it being American written. I’m also a little bit in love with Pickle and am hoping against hope that he has at least a fling with Todd.

Like Kitty, I’ve been dropping in regularly over the hiatus, hoping that it will end soon. You left us with a fabulous cliffhanger, though.

if this comic could be a tcg, or and rig, it’d make serious cash. This is great, I found it through Two Guys and Guy, which has got to be one of the funniest comics ever. If there was a crossover between these two, even for the lolz, Id pay money. all the characters are great plays off of the traditional archetypes, and make me feel very involved, even this recently introduced glasses sporting character. I look forward to any future work done by you.

Yes, TWOGAG is bloody awesome. Definitely one of the top comics out there. His jokes are always so fresh and they make your mind churn a little. He is a really unique talent.

So do we have any news on an update? It’s been what, over 3 months? this comic looks like it has tons of potential (been following it till it ended here) and I’ve been anxiously awaiting updates 😛

Really liked your comic, great art, interesting story…
But is this hiatus thing destined to become one of the “infinite” kind? Sure hope not, I´ve seen a few promising ones ending up that way.

The hiatus is definitely not ‘infinite’. I’ve been working on pages. The comic is set to go live again on March 21st. I’ve just had a change of plan with dealing how to post pages. Originally I was drawing pages as I posted them. I wasn’t a huge fan of this. So now I am going to finish the story completely before I post again.
I’ve been posting updates and some art in the general blog of the site.
I still seem to get this question a lot. Maybe I will post updates in the comic section of the site…
I really appreciate your patience and hope you will continue reading in March.
Awesome comic, glad I found it this early. I’m sure I’ll be reading it for years to come. Might I suggest building up a buffer? I’ve been building up a large number of comics so that I can post them while writing entire issues at a time.

Yep, I am working on a buffer right now. The ultimate buffer! I am going to finish the story before I start posting again. I originally had a buffer, but the having to draw a new page every week was just the wrong kind of motivation for me. So I am going to finish it all and just post it once I am done. It is working out much better for me. I am more productive and, more importantly, enjoying myself more.
Comics will post starting March 21st.
I’ll try to wait that long. I want you to know that it takes a lot for a comic to really draw me in, and yours did it with less than a chapter. You’ve got a really unique theme here and a great art style. I have high hopes so keep up the good work.

Yes, S.B. will start posting again in March. I haven’t picked a date in March, yet though. MegaCon will be 3/21. So it will be before that, maybe some time during the week before.
